Glassy State Lead Tellurite Nanobelts: Synthesis and Properties
The lead tellurite nanobelts have been first synthesized in the composite molten salts (KNO3/LiNO3) method, which is cost-effective, one-step, easy to control, and performed at low-temperature and in ambient atmosphere. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectrum, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and FT-IR spectrum are used...
متن کاملSynthesis and electric properties of dicobalt silicide nanobelts.
Single crystalline Co(2)Si nanobelts were synthesized for the first time. Temperature-dependent electrical transport studies show the Co(2)Si nanobelts exhibit metallic behavior with a large negative magnetoresistance over 10% at low temperature, which may be attributed to alignment of the spins in surface cobalt atoms.
متن کاملα-Lead tellurite from single-crystal data
The crystal structure of the title compound, α-PbTeO(3) (PTO), has been reported previously by Mariolacos [Anz. Oesterr. Akad. Wiss. Math. Naturwiss. Kl. (1969), 106, 128-130], refined on powder data. The current determination at room temperature from data obtained from single crystals grown by the Czochralski method shows a significant improvement in the precision of the geometric parameters w...
متن کاملSyntheses, crystal structures and properties of new lead(II) or bismuth(III) selenites and tellurite.
Four new lead(II) or bismuth(III) selenites and a tellurite, namely, Pb(3)(TeO(3))Cl(4), Pb(3)(SeO(3))(2)Br(2), Pb(2)Cd(3)(SeO(3))(4)I(2)(H(2)O), Pb(2)Ge(SeO(3))(4) and BiFe(SeO(3))(3), have been prepared and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses. These compounds exhibit five different types of structures. The structure of Pb(3)(TeO(3))Cl(4) features a th...
متن کاملMechanical properties of ZnS nanobelts.
Mechanical properties of ZnS nanobelts were measured at room temperature by direct nanoindentation experiments. It was found that the ZnS nanobelts achieve 79% increase in hardness but 52% decrease in elastic modulus compared to bulk ZnS. The nanobelts were found to exhibit creep under indentation. Indentation cracking was preferred along the belt growth direction. Indentation deformation behav...
